Who is Lawrence Taylor's wife? NFL star's sex offenses lead to arrest amid divorce

Things aren't great for New York Giants legend Lawrence Taylor as of now. He's currently facing multiple legal troubles. On December 16, those troubles led to his arrest in South Florida, as he is in the middle of a divorce battle with his current wife. It's just one of the many legal woes he's currently facing. 

Taylor isn't the only NFL star in legal trouble at the moment. In January 2021, from the Seattle Seahawks after being arrested for strangling his wife. Former NFL player in April over a shooting in Florida that left 1 dead. Then in August,  was arrested on multiple charges for creating a ruckus at a restaurant.

According to reports, Taylor was arrested on December 16 for failing to tell authorities he changed his address, which he is required to do because he is a registered sex offender. In light of that news, we thought it would be an apt time to focus on his current and third wife Lynette. 

Who is Lawrence Taylor's wife?

The troubled former NFL star has been married thrice, most recently to Lynette. The couple got hitched in 2007 and currently have three children together. But nearly 15 years into the relationship, things don't seem to be that great. In 2016, Lawrence and even got her arrested. He filed a case in Florida claiming she hit him on the back of the head during the fight, she later conceded to throwing an object at him.

That case revealed Lynette's history of violence. According to court documents, she was previously arrested in 1991, 2001, and 2008 over similar allegations. As a result of that arrest, Lynette was ordered to stay at least 500 feet away from Lawrence, and avoid all contact with him. Needless to say, such conditions don't make for an ideal marriage. it's now led to a divorce battle with Lynette. 

Little else is known about Lynette beyond her legal woes. But, she's not the only one in trouble with the law. 

Lawrence Taylor arrested

Back in 2011, Lawrence was declared a sex offender after he pleaded guilty to sexual misconduct and patronizing a prostitute, a case in which he was also accused of having sex with a 16-year-old. Under the law, he is required to register his address if he moves, which he apparently didn't do because of the divorce. Taylor's attorney told TMZ that he had now moved to a hotel because of the divorce "on the advice of local law enforcement". However, he didn't update the hotel's address, which is what led to the arrest. 

"We are confident that this will be dismissed at the first court hearing," the attorney added. According to the latest reports, he's been slapped with two felony charges of failure to register as a sexual offender, but was released from jail after several hours.
